ABOUT JACK OSBORNE
JACK OSBORNE is an author, businessman, husband, parent—having raised three daughters to adulthood—and grandparent. Born to “dirt poor” sugar-beet sharecrop farmers in Northern Colorado, his family was relocated to Seattle during the Second World War. He was raised in poverty in government housing projects in south Seattle during the 1950s.
Leaving home at age seventeen, he joined the Marine Corps. After service, he moved to California and put himself through college—the first of his ancestry to do so—by working nights, graduating in Mathematics and Physics from San Jose State University. He then lived in and around the San Francisco Bay Area and fashioned a thirty year career in “Silicon Valley’s” high-tech industries.
He is a successful engineer/businessman-entrepreneur having been an executive or founder in six start-up companies. One company he founded, and served as President and Chairman of the Board, became a multinational public company.
Mr. Osborne is an avid outdoorsman, sports enthusiast, and sailor, having coastal cruised and sailed over 8,000 miles on the open ocean. He is a devoted (now second) family man, who with his wife is raising her teenage daughter. He stays active in business as an executive management consultant.
He is a man of spiritual commitment, and a keen observer of life and people. His love, beyond helping people develop their potential, is writing heartwarming and enjoyable stories which touch upon the human experience with humor and poignancy. This is his first book, and he has two others nearing completion.
These are true stories of humor, adventure,
life’s lessons, memories, and catching dreams...
